Dealer History

Harwoods was founded in the 1930s by Wally Harwood though the company is currently run by his son.

Shortly after the company was founded, the world was hit by World War II. During that period (1939-1945), ammunition for the needs of the army was produced in some of the company's branches. Many companies reoriented their business during the war for military purposes, so the Harwoods group was no exception. At the end of the war, the company continued its production related to the civil sector. In the sixties of the last century, the company found a place in London Road. At that time, the location included a bicycle repair area, as well as three gas stations. The company soon bought the land and turned it into one of the top equestrian facilities. A lot of money was invested in this facility.

In the meantime, the company continued to expand its car distribution business. Through dedicated and diligent work, the company signed an agency over the renowned car brand Aston Martin, which shared the premises along with Jaguar on Terminus Road in Chichester. The group has grown exponentially since its establishment in 1931.

One of the biggest accomplishments is the deal with Land Rover, which provides the company with points of sale in as many as three locations. In addition to new cars, the company also sells used vehicles.
