The story of Thurlow Nunn dates back to 1982. In the beginning, they operated in a small garage for Vauxhall in Stowmarket. Three years later, Thurlow Nunn & Sons expanded their business and bought a subsidiary of F A Standen & Sons Ltd, thus expanding their business and founding Thurlow Nunn Standen Ltd. The company was not limited to one industry, as the transaction progressed, they formed a sector dealing with agriculture called Thurlow Nunn Ltd (also known as TNS). The company also traded cars under the name Thurlow Nunn Limited. Both sectors were merged and are now owned by Thurlow Nunn (Holdings) Ltd. Dedicated work and love for cars have led to the signing of dealerships with many renowned car brands.
In 1989, the company received the right of representation for the General Motors franchise, and in the same year, a large garage was purchased in Dereham. Over time, the company expanded its business activities and in 1998 they bought a garage in Holt, which serves as a specialized body shop anda car wash. Soon, the company purchased several more locations under its auspices. In 2000, they built a garage in Fakenham.
The Wisbech site opened its doors to company visitors in January 2005. The year 2005, from a business point of view, was hugely successful for the company. The same year, the group acquired a large number of agents at locations such as Great Yarmouth, Beccles, Diss and Norwich, and almost doubled its business. As for the company's agricultural department, it continued to expand, but in 2012, the expansion of the company's agricultural sector was more intense than ever before.
At that time, the company digested Randell Noflolk agrarian machines, and the company's auto sector also bought two Vauxhall dealerships in Norwich. A Milton Keynes subsidiary was also built in 2014, and just a year later the company came into the ownership of two dealerships and a sales centre in Luton and Dunstable.
